moxibustion
therapy
Moxibustion (Moxa) is a traditional heat therapy used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for thousands of years, involving the gentle warming of specific points using dried Artemisia (mugwort).
Historically, it has been used to strengthen the body, support immunity and restore the smooth flow of Qi and Blood—particularly in conditions associated with cold and deficiency.
Today, it remains a deeply comforting and effective way to warm, nourish and support the body’s natural healing response.

herbal liniments
Traditionally applied to areas of injury or stagnation, these herbal preparations are designed to penetrate the surface, activate blood flow and assist the body’s natural healing processes.
Herbal liniments act locally on the tissues by stimulating circulation and influencing the movement of Qi and Blood in the affected area.
Here at Natural Qi we only use high quality herbal liniments selected for their safety and therapeutic effectiveness. Each liniment has specific properties and is chosen according to the needs of your treatment.

what to expect during a moxa session?
the treatment
After a brief consultation, your practitioner uses moxa in the form of a stick or cone near the skin, allowing soothing heat to penetrate deeply into the tissues. The warmth is carefully controlled and always kept comfortable. Treatment areas are selected based on your individual presentation and health goals.
The therapy feels deeply nurturing and grounding, often leaving the body feeling warmer, more relaxed, and energetically balanced.
Aftercare
Keeping Warm
Keep the treated area covered and protected from wind, cold, and air-conditioning for 12–24 hours following treatment. Avoid cold showers during this time.
Supporting Circulation
Drink warm water or herbal tea after your session to assist circulation and recovery. Avoid iced drinks immediately after treatment.
Rest and Recovery
Allow time for rest and integration on the day of treatment. Gentle movement is encouraged but avoid overexertion.
Nourishing the Body
Choose warm, cooked and nourishing foods after treatment. Avoid excessive raw or cold foods where possible.
Normal Responses
You may notice lingering warmth, deep relaxation, mild fatigue, or improved energy in the following days. These are normal signs that your body is responding and rebalancing.
